London, the good, the bad and the ugly

I arrived into London on Tuesday the 11th of Nov and I was picked up from Gatwick airport and drove into Maida Vale. Immediately I started working with the up and coming talent Nina K which was great, and it is my honest opinion that this young beautifull lady has got a brilliant future ahead of her. She is a wonderful singer with fantastic stage presence, she was born to perform.

Anyway, London has been hectic. And this is London´s energy. Up and down, dark and light, happy and sad. London is very extreame and thats cool and that is exicitng. Not sure I dig London anymore to be honest. I have come to the conclusion that I am never going to Live in London full time again. I prefer the hills and the water, nature and a slower pace of life.

I have played two gigs since I have been in town. On Saturday 15th I supported Nina K at a Cancer Research Bash in Essex. It was a very sureal occassion with 250 nattering Asian people in the background. Again it was great fun and as the clock struck 12am I was exhausted made my excuses and went to stay at Wesley Ridgways club in South Woodford, Funky Mojoys. Wicked club if you want to have a wild party, however I am in recovery. And although I love my old mate Wes deeply I am just not ready for banging house music and 34DD tits in my face.

So my refuge in London has been with my old neighbour Maureen Corsi, who is a born again Christian and wonderful person. Maur helped save my life and I will be for ever grateful to her. Her flat is serene and peaceful, her mind is clear and loving, her heart is open and forgiving. She has taught me to be open to willingness, and this has given me the door to grow spiritually.

They say in the rooms that religion is for those who do not want to go to hell, and spirituality has already been there. London was the place where hit my rock bottom. London has been my spiritual hell, and coming back into London has not always been easy. I have the task of sorting out my old flat for new tenants and working with a management company. Every time I walk back into the flat I think of Paz and the kids, the police and car crashes, the death of my parents, the cocaine and the prosititutes and the lack of respect that I had for myself and ultimately for other people.

These times are pivitol for my developement, its great, and only 7 more days before I start a brand new adventure.

So I have played a couple of gigs, one to a room full of chattering Indians, and the other in Clerkenwell with Ear Music, both gigs went cool and both I performed with the gorgeous Nina K, watch this space as she is on her way.

Anyway, next stop is France can´t wait to get there, to play the gigs and to go snow boarding.

Dont forget to sign up online and you will recieve a free download and we will keep you updated with whats the latest in France. Plus you can buy all the latest tracks from The Sunset Session online, new tunes on the way.
